Foldables have been a luxury for years. This week, Vega and Halcyon both cut prices by roughly a quarter, bringing the cheapest to 58,999 rupees.

The cheaper models trade the thinnest hinge for a thicker body and a smaller outer screen. Both keep an IPX4 rating and a two-year warranty on the hinge.

Analysts expect more cuts before the festival sales. If you can wait, watch the first week of next month.

This is a demo story: every name, place, organisation and figure in it is fictional.
