In this story
The Kestrel Tab 11 is aimed at students who want one device for notes, textbooks and films. We used it for two weeks in lectures and on a train commute.
Its 2.5K screen is sharp and bright enough for the window seat. The four speakers are loud and clear, though bass is thin. Handwriting with the optional stylus has almost no lag, and the palm rejection worked on every page we tried.
Charging is the letdown: 0 to 100 percent takes nearly three hours with the supplied 18 W charger.
