In this story
The Lumen Watch 3 does not try to be a smartwatch. It counts steps, tracks sleep, measures heart rate and blood-oxygen and shows your notifications. That focus is why it works so well at the price.
We compared its heart-rate readings against a chest strap on three 5 km runs. The average gap was 3 beats per minute, which is good for a wrist sensor. Sleep stages matched a bedside tracker on four of five nights.
Battery and comfort
Battery lasted nine days with sleep tracking on and the screen at medium brightness. The silicone strap is soft, but the plastic case scratches easily; a screen protector is worth it.
App
The companion app is simple and does not push subscriptions. Data export to a spreadsheet is built in, which few budget trackers offer.
